They arrived in March after one of my Coast Runs. Calypso (the truck) was loaded like a ship to set sail for an Atlantic crossing. We had two bunk beds complete with 2 full-sized futon mattresses, another full-sized mattress, box spring, and two twins; a 55 gallon barrel, three cages containing two roosters, five Buff Orfingtons, and six more assorted hens, three boxes of day old chicks traveling in the cab along with watering and feeding devices, three sacks of feed, my luggage, Alice, me and a stack of books on tape.
On three separate occasions, people we met started humming the theme song from The Beverly Hillbillies.

By the time we got home, Betsy, Forrest and Dean had just about put the finishing touches on the Mobile Chicken Unit.
