If you have not seen this film, please do. I have been following GMO news for a decade now. I have never seen as compelling and gripping a documentary as this.
As a small rancher dedicated to creating safe, wholesome, real food grown with real plants on restored soil I find it appalling that our government punishes, squashes, and ties the hands of small farmers like me. I cannot sell you a pound of my healthy, grass-fed beef because it was not processed through a USDA certified plant. Why don't I get my beef certified? Because it would mean my cows would have to leave The 3-Bell Ranch to travel 4 hours by trailer to arrive at a processing facility where they would find a world that would look like a concentration camp of hell. My cows are born here. They live their lives here. Their last second of life is spent in a grassy pasture where one minute they're chewing grass and the next second they are dead. No stress. No trauma... and when they were alive, no genetically modified organisms, no herbicides. Just wholesome grass, minerals, real salt never bleached or processed or poisoned.
If we do not take a collective stand, then we will be eating food from China and that grown by Monsanto.
Please watch Genetic Roulette.
And call the White House to tell Mr. Obama that when he took office he made a pledge to stand up for Americans. I for one haven't seen much evidence of that. I'm waiting. And losing hope. We need to speak for what is right. Real food is right. Stand with me to protect our right to real food.
