As was true these past two years, the calendar is a unique blend of horses photographed candidly in "out west" backdrops afforded by this amazing country and engaging stories about their unique personalities, relationships with one another and their  artist-writer human companion, Tara Felder.

We are certain you will that you will fall in love with the heart and soul of these horses and the country they roam so joyously.

This year's calendar includes Scent of the Storm. This photograph was awarded the People's Choice in Twisp's Confluence Gallery's Horsing Around Contest.

Grace

I had not seen the beauty in Gandalf until I began to photograph him. Captured on film was an image of grace, a majestic and regal figure. Our Freedom Rides have provided me a unique opportunity to observe the relationship each horse has with the other and with me as we interact with one another— a moving tapestry, a ballad, a sonnet, a waltz. 

Of all my horses, Gandalf is my most dependable. He is the one I choose whenever I am about to learn how to do something new. Driving a single hitch for the first time, driving a tandem hitch for the first time, pulling logs, moving cows, chasing down a renegade pony… 

He is the most forgiving of my errors and understanding of my human flaws.
